Midfielder Johnny Cardoso will miss the United States’ matches with Trinidad and Tobago that can decide a berth in subsequent 12 months’s Copa América and the CONCACAF Nations League semifinals.

Cardoso has an injured proper ankle and didn’t journey to Austin, Texas, from Brazil, the place he performs for Internacional. The 22-year-old from Denville, New Jersey, has made 9 worldwide appearances. He is not going to get replaced on the roster, the U.S. Soccer Federation mentioned Monday.
