Chelsea sign Brighton goalkeeper Robert Sánchez for £25m

Chelsea have signed Spain goalkeeper Robert Sánchez from Brighton on a seven-year contract, the membership introduced on Saturday.

ESPN reported on Thursday that Chelsea had agreed a price within the area of £25 million ($31.7m) for the 25-year-old.

Chelsea have been trying to bolster their goalkeeping choices since Edouard Mendy joined Saudi Pro League facet Al Ahli in June.

Sanchez joined Brighton’s academy in 2013 and has made 87 Premier League appearances for the south-coast membership, however fell out of favour in direction of the top of the earlier season, with Jason Steele beginning 15 of Brighton’s final 16 league video games.

Sanchez, who’s adept together with his ft and has a powerful vary of passing, has received two caps for Spain. He will compete for the goalkeeper place at Stamford Bridge with compatriot Kepa Arrizabalaga.
