I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (which I originally featured in this post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also had them long enough that I understand how they really perform, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.

Where did you purchase them?

I discovered mine on sale via Cettire and bought them that way!

I ordered them on April 28th and they were delivered by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick and that’s a win in my book

What’s the cost?

When I bought my golden goose clothing pair in spring, I paid just under $390, but their standard price is $513.91.

You can expect to pay between $410 and $1,700 depending on their uniqueness.

How does the sizing run?

They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a EU 36.

Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.

Are they comfortable?

They required minimal break-in time..

How do they perform over time?

They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they’ve held up beautifully. No glitter has fallen off, and the structure feels strong. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.

How are they vs. other brands?

These are the best sneakers I own. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They have a hidden arch lift that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is unique. And the sparkle on mine? Stunning.

Would you recommend them?

Totally! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They cost a lot, so getting them discounted is a better idea. They’re worth the investment, especially if you find a style that suits you. I went bold with sparkle, but a neutral version would also go with everything.

Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. Nothing has torn, and the structure feels strong.

Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
