Former England captain Nasser Hussain believes that younger India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has the approach and mindset to turn out to be a profitable batter in worldwide cricket. “He appears to have the approach and he appears to have that mindset.

“Like most young Indian players and batters in particular, most of them come in and have immediate success. And that is a good sign for first-class cricket, that they are being produced, not just the IPL.”

Yashasvi’s debut within the T20I cricket was not a memorable one although. He was dismissed on the rating of 1 runs after getting a chance to open for India within the third T20I in opposition to West Indies.

Talking about his efficiency in IPL 2023, Jaiswal was fifth within the listing of highest run-scorers with 625 runs to his title throughout 14 matches. He averaged 48.07 whereas his strike charge was 163.61.
