“I’m not joyful with the position that the referee performed in the sending off, to start with,” Parkinson said. “I imply that is a tender purple card, it is his trailing leg, there is no actual intent there and for me, [the referee] has received it improper.

“I thought the goalkeeper made a meal out of it in all honesty and obviously, that influences the referee’s decision.

“I’m annoyed for Callum as a result of I assumed he was wonderful, it was his first recreation for a very long time and he performed rather well.

“But the lads have dug deep today. Barnet are a good side and up there in the contention for the playoffs and we’ll take the point. It’s another point on the journey where we need to go to. When you go down to 10 men, a point is good.”
